Today's prompt was Something Red.
This pitcher sits on a shelf in my kitchen. It was given to me by my grandmother who has passed and no I don't know if it is antique or worth money but it is worth memories of a wonderful woman for me.
Today's Thought: "A Grandmother is a special person who causes a joyful happening in the heart of a child."
The new Mega is available now at the Scrap Orchard for just $3. After Feb. 7 the price goes up to $10 - so get it while it is a steal. You can click the image below to go to the market. I used this kit on my two pages below. The templates I used to create my Project 365 layouts are by Sya's Blueprints.

Today's prompt: "Can you handle another shape? Can you find some SQUARES?"
These framed flowers hang over my jetted tub. I love the cheerful & relaxing atmosphere they create. Even better is the fact that I got them at the dollar store and that even though I have had them a while, I still love them.
Today's thought: "Look at the flowers - for no reason. It is simply unbelievable how happy flowers are." -Osho

Scrappy News
It is Dollar Days over at Elemental Scraps again today. Chrissy has a fun quick page album for just $1 and it was so fun and easy to work up into a fun little brag book to give to my sister. I used pictures of Megan that I have taken as I babysit her. Many of the pics my sis has never seen & it was her bday earlier this month so I am excited to give this to her as a late bday gift. You can click the product images to go to the shoppe and be sure to look at all the other great dollar deals. So many cute things! Below my brag book examples is a fun new kit by Mandy Mystiques. It is a collab and the other half is way cute too. So if you want the whole thing be sure to look for it and snag it too. Each half is only (yep you guessed it) $1. Have a great day and I'll be back later with my Project 365 photo.

Today's photo prompt: "Now lets go 'round in CIRCLES. Can you find some circles today?"
Snapped this pic of Morgan before his game. They won 28/14. He only had a chance to shoot once and it was close but didn't go in. He enjoys the sport and has fun so that is what counts.
Today's thought: "Simply because we do not run across goal lines, slam dunk basketballs, or hit home runs, doesn't mean we can't change the score."

Photo Prompt for Jan 22, "It's a new week and lets jump straight in with STRAIGHT. Take a photo of something straight today"
I went for Straight Up 6:00. I love this clock that hangs in my green scrap room. Such a shame that I spend so little time in there since I switched to digital scrapping. And here is a thought for today:

Today's Prompt: "Well you've probably guessed what's next in this weeks theme. It's water! Don't get those cameras wet!"
This is actually one of my goals this year... to drink my 8 eight ounce waters a day. Kind of a simple health goal but one that I think I can actually attain.
And here is a thought for today: "Live in each season as it passes; breathe air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each. Let them be your only diet drink and botanical medicines." Henry David Thoreau

Forgetful Me!
I keep meaning to share a "forgetful" moment with you but then I forget lol. It was during the week of Christmas that this happened. It was about 5:00 pm and I was in my bedroom just playing on my laptop when Carson hollered to me from the front door, "Mom the missionaries are here." My mind snapped very quickly to the reality that we were to feed them that night at our home.
YIKES! Here it was 5:00 and I hadn't even started to make dinner. Earlier in the day I had taken inventory of the fridge and decided I could be lazy and serve my family leftovers for dinner. Well, I knew that there wouldn't be enough leftovers for the missionaries and my family and besides that the leftovers were going to be a hodge podge of things and I just would feel stupid putting it all out on the table for them and saying pick what you want.
It was freezing cold outside and unfortunately I could not invite them in because Clayne had not come home from work yet. There is a rule that Elders can not be in the home without the husband or an older male present. I called Clayne and yes, he had forgotten our appointment too and was still sitting at his desk in the office. I told him he better hurry home quick and that he could pick up the Elders at the church house and then meet me at Wingers. I then had the missionaries walk over to the church were I had Clayne's key to let them in. I told them that my husband would be there very soon to pick them up and that I was going to go ahead and get us a table at the restaurant.
I really suppose we should be better at praying over our food when we go out, but we don't. It felt strange to be saying a blessing over the food at Wingers. We managed to get them fed and to their next appointment on time. Maybe we were meant to take them to Wingers though because our server did ask them how he could sign up to have the discussions about our church.
Anyway.... just thought I'd share a little blunder with you. It drives me crazy when I forget things but it always seems to happen when there is just too much going on in life. Christmas week is definitely a busy time and hey... we gave the Elders a nice dinner out for a Christmas gift is how I am going to look at it. Hope this made you smile or at least will help you feel better the next time you forget about something you were supposed to do.

Project 365 Day 20
So I got a little confused by the prompts this week. Today's prompt, "Animal, vegetable or mineral again. This time it's vegetable. How imaginative can we get with vegetable?" When it was posted this way I thought I had my pick of which of the three I would photograph and did vegetable when I should have done mineral. So today I bring you "mineral." I am not big on wearing makeup and so I love the light feel of this type of makeup.
And a thought: "My Face ------- My face in the mirror Isn't wrinkled or drawn. My house isn't dirty. The cobwebs are gone. My garden looks lovely. And so does my lawn. I think I might never - Put my glasses back on." -Kathie from Sacramento CA

Project 365 Day 19
Today's prompt: "Time for a breath of fresh air. Today's element is WIND. The trick is to photograph it."
For an area where the wind blows 99% of the time, today was surprisingly still. I had to get a little creative. Oh and someone asked where I was getting my thoughts. Most of them come from running a search in the "peasoup" which is a wonderful collection of page title ideas, thoughts and quotes at www.twopeasinabucket.com
And here is a thought: "Bubbles, like wishes gently take flight to soar and float in afternoon light." - Beth Hooper

Today's Prompt: "Of all the elements, the earth element is the most easy to confine and capture, to hold in the hand. It is rigid, fixed and stable."Can you catch something earthy today?"
I am afraid that I am a bit stumped on this one and those who live near will know that these photos could not have come from today but they did come from the 16th and I figure that is close enough. It was so bitter cold but wow what gorgeous photo opportunities that brought. And here is a thought for today. I have always enjoyed Shel Silverstein.
"Frozen Dream I'll take the dream I had last night And put it in my freezer, So someday long and far away When I'm an old grey geezer, I'll take it out and thaw it out, This lovely dream I've frozen, And boil it up and sit me down And dip my old cold toes in." -Shel Silverstein

Today's prompt: "Animal, vegetable or mineral again. Can you find an animal in your day?"
Savannah went to the store today with Clayne and bought a Fur Real pet without even knowing this was my photo prompt. I felt pretty lucky since we don't have any animals around here.
Today's thought: "Whoever said you can't buy happiness forgot little puppies." -Gene Hill

Project 365 Day 15
Today's prompt was, "Animal, vegetable or mineral? Take a photo of something mineral today." I wasn't quite sure what to do with this prompt and this is what came into my mind. Our snow is melting away pretty quick over this past week. I have to remind myself that it isn't March but is the mid of winter and we likely have much more show before it goes for good. And here is a little Snowman Prayer for today's thought:
"Starlight, star bright. Please don't let me melt tonight." - Unknown

Project 365 Day 14
Today the prompt was, "today it's just about sight. Show us something that's a pleasure to see.Whether it's the photo that's outstanding or the subject that's stunning, let's see some pics that we just want to keep looking at." I took advantage of this prompt and purchased myself a bouquet of roses so I could photograph them. If you haven't been given flowers lately, you could treat yourself to some too. It is kind of fun! And here is a thought for today.

Project 365 Day 13
Today's prompt was, "Now find something in your day that will tickle our taste buds, or not :)Yep today's theme is taste. Take a photo of something to express a sense of taste."
Today I needed to bake bread and to me there are few things as tasty as a warm freshly baked slice of bread. Even though this thought is more related to smell, I still had to use it. We all know how much the sense of taste and smell work together anyway.
"The smell of good bread baking, like the sound of lightly flowing water, is indescribable in its evocation of innocence and delight." - M. F. K. Fisher

Project 365 Day 12
Today's photo prompt was, "Next on our sensory list is sound. Can you take a photo of a noise?" I am babysitting today and my little niece, Megan, has gotten to that age that if she even thinks you are leaving the room she cries. Still even with this sad face it just makes me smile. Poor Baby! Whahoo here is my first layout using my Project 365 Photo a Day pictures. I have to admit that I wasn't sure I would like 7 random photos on a page but when I used Chrissy's newest template set and this darling collaboration kit available at Scrap Orchard - I was thrilled with the end result. I can't wait to have the rest of week two's photos so I can make the next page! Scroll down for product images and some scrapbook sale information. All product images can be clicked on to take you to them in stores. I'll be back later with today's photo for 365.
Yep... above is the collab kit I used on my page and below is the awesome template set that I used. Today is Dollar Day at Elemental scraps and you can get Chrissy's great template set for just $1. But hurry cuz it is only Dollar Day for a day. There are lots of great deals over there today so take a minute to look it over while you are there.
Mandy also has two darling kits available for the Dollar Day sale today. Yep just a buck for each of these gorgeous kits. I have a credit at Heritage Makers that I need to use by the end of this month to make a book and so I decided to make a little coffee table book of my wedding photos - since this year will mark my 20th anniversary I thought it may be fun. These kits are working out wonderful for my project. I am using some templates by Simply Sarah to make my wedding book.
